Term: October 1, 2026–December 18, 2026, with the option to begin sooner
Location: Open to remote interns, but Philadelphia-based students will take priority
Compensation: Unpaid volunteer internship, with potential for paid work based on performance, organizational needs, and available funding. There may also be an opportunity to extend the role through the Spring 2027 semester.
The Mindful Tech Club is a Philadelphia-based digital-wellness venture that offers coaching, no-phones community events, and practical resources to help people build healthier, more intentional relationships with technology. TMTC is growing its local programming, coaching services, workshops, and operational foundation, and is looking for a thoughtful, organized intern to help make that work more sustainable.
The Artificial Intelligence & Operations Intern will work directly with the founder to improve systems behind TMTC’s coaching, events, marketing, partnerships, and community programming. This is not an engineering or app-development role. It is a hands-on opportunity to use accessible AI tools, clear documentation, and practical operations systems to reduce administrative burden and create more capacity for meaningful human-centered work.
What You’ll Do
You will identify repeatable tasks, simplify workflows, and build practical systems using tools such as ChatGPT, Google Workspace, Google Sheets, Canva, and other low-cost or no-code platforms.
Projects may include:
Identify opportunities to simplify recurring administrative, marketing, and event tasks through better workflows, templates, AI support, or light automation
Build trackers, dashboards, and documented processes for leads, outreach, newsletters, content, partnerships, programs, and events
Organize marketing and social-media systems, including content planning, editing handoffs, captions, scheduling, website recommendations, SEO, and lead generation
Research practical, affordable, privacy-conscious AI and no-code tools
Turn customer feedback, waitlist responses, surveys, and partnership notes into clear insights and next steps
Other projects as needed
Fall 2026 Focus
During the fall term, the intern will help TMTC strengthen the operational foundation behind local digital-wellness programming in Philadelphia; 1:1 coaching, workshops and cohort offerings, marketing, partnerships, and recurring community events.
Potential deliverables include:
A concise operations audit identifying the highest-impact opportunities to reduce friction and save time
A clear dashboard or tracker for leads, coaching inquiries, local partnerships, events, content, and outreach
Documented workflows for several high-priority recurring processes
A simple system for assigning, tracking, and handing off work across the founder, contractors, volunteers, and ambassadors
Recommendations for what should remain human-led and what can be responsibly supported by AI
A prioritized Spring 2027 operations roadmap based on the systems built and lessons learned during the fall
What We’re Looking For
This role is well suited to a student or early-career professional interested in AI, business operations, entrepreneurship, marketing operations, community-building, digital wellness, behavioral science, or mission-driven startups.
You do not need to be an engineer or know how to code. The most important qualification is the ability to turn evolving ideas and scattered information into clear, practical systems.
You may be a strong fit if you:
Are highly organized and enjoy building order from messy or evolving information
Are comfortable using generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar tools
Can think critically about when AI is useful and when a human-led approach is better
Have experience with Google Drive, Google Sheets, Notion, Airtable, Canva, project-management tools, or related platforms
Can write clearly, document processes, and explain tools in accessible language
Care about ethical, human-centered technology rather than automation for the sake of automation
Can manage a flexible 10–15 hour weekly commitment, work independently, and communicate reliably
Are comfortable working in an early-stage environment where priorities constantly evolve
Care about helping people build healthier technology habits and spend more time meaningfully engaged offline
What You’ll Gain
This internship provides hands-on experience building practical systems for an early-stage, mission-driven venture. You will contribute directly to how TMTC operates, grows, and uses technology responsibly.
You will gain experience in:
Applying AI to real-world business operations in a thoughtful and responsible way
Building lightweight workflows, templates, dashboards, and documentation for a growing organization
Supporting marketing, client outreach, community programming, events, and founder operations
Translating organizational needs into realistic, usable systems
Learning about digital wellness, behavior change, coaching, and community-centered programming
Working closely with a founder and owning meaningful, portfolio-ready projects
